GSMC 2024: Chilean Atlantic Salmon Supply Outlook Down 5% For This year

The Salmon Panel at the National Fisheries Institute’s (NFI) Global Seafood Market Conference (GSMC) shared some interesting insight this week, revealing that the Atlantic salmon supply outlook for 2024 will be on par with last year. However, when breaking it down by country, the harvest volume out of Chile is estimated to be down 5%, according to data from Kontali.

For 2023 the total harvest volume of Atlantic Salmon was 2,810,000 tonnes. Meanwhile, 2024 is estimated to be at 2,849,000 tonnes; a 1% increase. But looking at Chile...

GSMC 2024: Global Farmed Shrimp Production Predicted to Slightly Decrease in 2024
